General conditions

A delay of one to six months will be necessary for the realization of any search depending upon its importance, its geographic localization and the planing of the genealogist.

A free quotation without obligation, precise, detailed, firm and final will be prepared for any search request.
If accepted, it will result in a contract drawn up in duplicate.

The contract specifies the total amount for researches and formatting, the costs of documents reproductions (photocopies, photographs) and the travel expenses.

A provision at least equal to the third of the total amount should be paid before the start of the research and the rest at reception of the results.

At the end of the work, a detailed report of the researches, the results obtained as well as the reproductions of documents found will be provided to the customer.
In case of incomplete records, the estimate could be revised downwards.

The genealogist is bound to an obligation of means, but not of results.
Therefore, he will do his utmost to achieve the desired results but fees will be entirely due in the event of failure as in case of success.

Fixed rates for year 2012

The flat rate includes the fees for researches and formatting, the cost of document reproductions (photographs, photocopies)
and travel expenses.

These rates apply for any individual of the first generation born after 1890, regardless of the geographic location.
(the geographic location means any shift to a french metropolitan department and a maximum of four different departments to cover.
Beyond that, additional travel expenses may be charged.)

Agnatic genealogy (patronymic line):

For exemple : for an agnatic genealogy on :
- 4 generations : 7 ancestors = 18 acts to look for = 515 Euros
- 6 generations : 11 ancestors = 28 acts to look for = 870 Euros
- 8 generations : 15 ancestors = 38 acts to look for = 1300 Euros

Genealogy per quarters (all filiations):

For exemple : for a genealogy per quarters on :
- 3 generations : 7 ancestors = 18 acts to look for = 496 Euros
- 5 generations : 31 ancestors = 78 acts to look for = 2106 Euros
- 7 generations : 127 ancestors = 318 acts to look for = 8268 Euros

The individual whose ancestry we study is the FIRST generation; his / her parents the SECOND; his / her grandparents the THIRD; and so on . . .
The identification of each ancestor becomes established from 3 main certificates : birth (or baptism), marriage, death (or sepulchre)
